"Alright, got the high hat all set up and now we're ready to go. One thing I'm going to explain really quick is playing the high hat and using the foot pedal to open and close it during a beat. I'm just going to demonstrate that and give you kind of a feel of you know, what it looks like and what it sounds like. It's a great idea just because it adds a lot of flare. It's like any beat, you can pretty much do anything with it. Really accents the song nicely. So I'm just going to play just a regular straight beat and then after a couple of measures I will open the high hat and show you what that sounds like. So, just a simple demonstration of the foot pedal work with the high hat. "
