"Hi I'm Mario Amaya and on behalf of Expert Village. In this segment I like to talk a little bit about using slides in flamenco. Well slides are similar to slurs but instead of going from one finger of the left hand to another finger of the left hand like this. Instead of using different fingers to make a slur we press down on a note with a finger and pluck the note with the right hand and then move that same finger to another fret. That is what slides are about. Please see the next segment where I will talk about the use of parado in flamenco guitar playing. "
