"Hi I'm Mario Amaya and on behalf of Expert Village in this segment I want to give you some more exercises for the right hand in flamenco guitar playing. Well first 4 arpeggios for developing arpeggios a good exercise is to finger a chord any chord. Say the E is your chord and do this exercise(playing guitar) where I'm doing the arpeggio using rest stroke with the thumb which we often do in flamenco and I'm keeping my index, middle and ring fingers on the 3rd, 2nd and 3rd strings respectively. I'm moving the thumb among the bass strings starting on the 6th string moving to the 5th string, and the 4th string, and back to the 5th string, then back to the 6th string like this. (playing guitar) Try to do this as clearly and loudly as possible and don't worry about speed at the beginning but gradually increase the speed. I also like to give you a exercise for the right hand thumb in flamenco guitar playing and it is very simple but very effective exercise. If you just finger a chord such as E major and strum the strings kind as if you where doing rest strokes but you are strumming across all the strings with the thumb. If you do this a number of times close to the bridge and far from the bridge and in between it would really strengthening you thumb. Please see the next segment where I will talk about the left hand posture in flamenco guitar playing."
