Chewing gum is one of my secrets to getting the pharyngal muscles lubricated and stretched out for a better flow... The jaw muscles are being used and it gets the throat very hydrated in which will help ease the voice... Plus, anything warm is going to expand the muscles and help melt any mucus thats lodged in the throat so you can get it up and out! Gross I know but it works for mucosity problems also!
