"MATT GRAHAM: So now, we've got the low E string bead in, secured into the bridge. Now we're going to be working with the naked end of that string. You may have heard someone say "Cut the strings before they're wound on the tuning post." That's not what you need to do. So if you see, this tuning post has a hole right in the middle of it. And what we want to do is align that hole parallel to the strings. So right now it's facing away from the bridge, but we're going to turn it so that it's pointing to the bridge, and it doesn't matter which side of that hole you choose. So I'm going to take the string and put it straight through that hole and take all the slack out of it. Now then, we've got it inserted into the tuning post."
