"Hey everybody my name is Matt and I'm speaking to you on behalf of Expert Village. The first thing you are going to want to know is how to do a cubase is how to create a track so if you right click anywhere in here you would be presented with this dialog and you can add. There is a lot of different types of tracks that you can add. I'm going to go ahead and create I'm going to add a track and over here to the left this is called the inspector this is going to give you a lot of information about each individual track. So I just created a midi track and we will get into how to use midi a little bit later. If you right click and add a auto track, here you can record real actual audio you can also import a variety of different types of audio. Also there is what is called a folder track if you create a folder track this is purely for organization purposes you can group tracks into different folder so you can hide and show them. There is also what is known as a marker track. With this you can just draw and mark in different points and if you go down here and click on the numbers it would take you directly to the different markers that you have created. There is what is called a ruler track as well and this is just what the name basically applies is a ruler you can change it to different measurements of time. There is a couple of other types of tracks that maybe we would get into a little bit later if we have time. The next thing I'm going to teach you about is called the transport. "
