"We're talking about basics of piano playing today and, right now, I'd like to focus another aspect of basic music reading. As you look at the music on the page, we have a staff which we've previously talked about. And on the staff, once you've looked at that and you've found the clef, now this is where you need to know what clef you're actually in, in order to get the musical alphabet. With the treble clef that we show here, the musical alphabet, we're going to show you now the difference of lines and spaces. We've got our five lines of our staff. Okay? And these are the notes that come between them. So, here they are as shown. We have F, which is the first space, A, C, E or "FACE," which is an easy way to remember it. That the spaces of the treble clef spell "face.""
