Playing the "Name Rap" Improv Game

"Hi guys. We're learning how to play some improv games today. And now we're going to show you a game called "Name Rap". In order to play "Name Rap", you're going to pick three or four performers and have them stand on the stage. And then you're going to take a suggested name from the audience. Preferably a name of an audience member and that would make it more fun. At that point in time, each individual improviser is going to construct a rap based on that name. It's pretty straight forward. If an improviser is stuck or can't come up with a rap when it's his turn. The player's out until only one player remains. Dan Bean and I are going to demonstrate and it's a pretty straight forward formula. You just kind of plug the name in. Dan Bean, let's go with the name? Let's go with the name, Kelly. Okay. You want to start? Alright. Alright. Ready. Well, I know a girl whose name is Kelly. She likes all of her toast with mint or jelly. That's what I know about a girl name Kelly. Yo I know a girl by the name of Kelly. She wears big shirts because she got a big belly. That's what I know about a girl named Kelly. Yo I know a girl whose name is Kelly. Ain't taken a shower. Yes she's real smelly. That's what I know about a girl name Kelly. Could we get another name. Oh did I hear someone say Mack? Mack. Mack it is. I know a guy by the name of Mack. He was eight, had a heart attack. That's what I know about a guy name Mack. Yo I know about a guy name of Mack. He's helping out Santa always carrying that sack. That's what I know about a guy name Mack. Yo I know guy whose name is Mack. He likes to...wear a jet pack. Ow. And Dan Bean couldn't think of one fast enough and now he's out. And that's how you play "Name Rap"."
