"Hi Guys. We are here today learning how to play some Improv Icebreakers. And the next Icebreaker I am going to show you guys is called "Shootout". Now "Shootout" is a slightly complicated cowboy based game, but it's a lot of fun. It gets everybody loosen up. And you get to have fun physically. Which is always important when it's the first time you're meeting a large group of people. Now to play "Shootout", you are going to have your new improviser stand in a giant circle. You're then going to have a designated host. Have everyone become familiar with that fact that they are, that ever improviser is in fact a cowboy or a cowgirl. You are going to want everyone to stand like a cowboy. You are going to want everybody to have two guns. Now go ahead and take a minute to get everybody familiarized with what it feels like to be a cowboy. And what it feels like to have these guns. And you could do that by having everybody shoot up into the air as if you were having a giant cowboy party. Now once everyone is comfortable in their cowboy or cowgirl skin, you are going to pass energy around by the host yelling "Shootout". And having whoever's turn it is to pull their guns and fake shoot somebody on the other side of the circle. Now let's say its Dan B. turn, and I've yelled "Shootout". Dan is going to pull out his gun and shoot at someone across the circle. Now that person across the circle has two choices. Either they can take the bullet and fall down dead, or they could drop to the floor and let the bullet whiz over them. After they made their choice, it's their turn to stand up, the host will yell "Shootout" again, and then they shoot at somebody else. Now since it's just Dan B. and I, we're just going to kind of pass it back and forth, showing you what it looks like to duck, or what it looks like to get shot. But I think you guys will play this game and have a lot of fun. Alright so everybody stand like a cowboy. Shoot out your guns. Get use to what it feels like. Alright, now Dan B. you want to go ahead and start? Alright, I'm going to assume the role of both another player and the host. Alright ready, "Shootout". [Bang] Alright now in that case I ducked underneath the bullet. But now it's my turn. Alright ready, "Shootout" [Bang] Oh, now Dan died, that doesn't mean that he's out of the game, it just means that he can stand up and now he has a turn to shoot at somebody else. [Bang] We're going to keep playing this game and passing the energy around, until everyone has had a chance to be shot at, and to shoot. And that's how you play "Shootout"."
