"Hi guys, we're here today learning how to play some improv icebreakers. And the next icebreaker we are going to show you is called "energy, one to ten". To play energy one to ten, you are going to your entire group of new improvisers stand in a giant circle. If you are following our series, you are probably going to realize that a giant circle is the perfect formation for a bunch of new people. Now, the point of this activity is to teach everyone how to make eye contact, and how to be comfortable being as extremely loud as you can as quite as you can. Now, if you are familiar working with a new group of people. Most people are pretty shy and they are already at a one on the energy scale. So hopefully this activity will teach people how to break out. Now to play energy one to ten, you are going to have a host or a designated leader. And they are going to lead everybody through taking their energy up from a one to a ten as well as taking their height up from a lower one to a higher ten. Now for the sake of this demonstration, Dan and I don't have a lot of room and we don't want to crouch off of the camera, so we are just going to stay small and build ourselves up to a ten and then back down to a one. So follow us and I think you guys will see and have fun. We are going to make eye contact with each other, because it is important that everyone looks around and makes eye contact with everybody at least once. So, alright Dan are you ready? One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten! Nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one. Take it back up one more time. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten! And that is how you play "energy, one to ten"."
