" Hi! My name is Mike Larney from the band Naked Underneath, and on behalf of Expert Village we will be discussing hammer ons and pull offs and bending strings. Okay, so inside the scales that we have talked about previous, when you do a hammer on, you would pluck the string just once, but hold your finger down onto the fret, and then you just set your finger above it right after you pluck it. So you are essentially getting two notes for one pluck. Now pulling off is inversely the opposite…is…you start here and then you pull off, so if you do both at the same time, it would be hammer on, hammer off. Now, bending the string is going to bring the note up, and if we add those together…. "
