"MAN: Behind me you see a map of Guinea, West Africa, which is the heartland for the djembe music. It's a very diverse country and it has different regions where different music is played. We also have countries, Mali, Senegal, Ivory Coast, and a little bit of Burkina Faso, they have djembe there as well. Each region, they play different instruments besides just the djembe. They also have flutes and kora, which are string instruments, as well as krin, which is like a log drum, and balafon and all kinds of different music that goes along with the dance and singing in West Africa. In Guinea alone, there are over 15 different languages and each language has its own music, its own culture. Each people have their own way to dress, different food, everything. And it's a beautiful lush country. Guinea is very lush, unlike Mali which has more deserts, and Guinea also has a lot of mountains and it's a very beautiful country and very vibrant music, lots of culture."
