"Now if you can shoot down the pole of the microphone here you'll see that you have the cord wrapped around one time around the pole of the microphone. This reduces the amount of stress on the plug for the cable where it actually goes into the microphone up here on the top. Down at the bottom of the pole also you'll see screws on the base so when I arrived for sound check I take a look at that microphone. I put my foot on my base like that and I turn the bottom pole to make sure it's in there snug and then I turn the middle one and make sure it's on there snugged at a height that I kind of like for it. Then I'm doing the sound check in the position that it should be. Does everything feel relatively secured? The sound person might not be able to know as much about that as they know about electronics and the signal at that moment. So a lot of that is up to you as a performer to kind of check that equipment. "
