"Hey there it's Les McGehee back on Expert Village with some more lessons for you about how to seen and heard on the improp stage. We're going to talk about microphones and in particular type of microphones that you might come to using in a live comedy show especially on an improp show or a sketch show. Where you might be working on anywhere from theater or a comedy club to a banquet hall or convention center or anything in between. Really outdoor stages and tents it all comes up on the live show circuit that is for sure. So we're going to talk about microphones and the main thing here is nothing fancy. We are not going to get into how best to get certain sound effects and things like that. This is how to be seen and heard it sure does break a high mileage guy like me as heart, I hope I said that right. It sure does break the heart of a high mileage guy like me, one of the same self. When I see a young improviser trying to do something creative and it is a wonderful choice and they do it really well. We loose it because of something to do with the challenge of production quality and microphone and lighting. That is where these series of clips is really about, let's get those obstacles out of your way, it can be second nature. You don't have to think about these things it may be a little education that you have to gain in the first place, but then you forget about these things will really won't be a problem for you."
