Video Transcript

"LORIN PARKER: I'd like to talk to you specifically about the history of circuit bending and its subculture. I told you about Reed Ghazala but also there are many circuit bending artists across the world and with the proliferation of the internet and websites, all you have to do is "type circuit bending" into Google and you are going to get hundreds and hundreds of hits. And we have one festival which happens each year in the United States, the Bent Festival, and last year, we had it in Los Angeles, New York, and Minneapolis. And this is where artists from all over the world, from Germany, from Mexico, from Australia, from the United States, from France come together and perform for three or four nights doing circuit bending. The works range from video to audio, anything that involves taking electronics, opening them up and making them your own and making an interesting performance out of it. The Bent Festival this year is coming up in April and you can find more information about it at BentFestival-dot-O-R-G."
