"Hey everybody! I'm going to tell you about a basic principal now. It's called the one ahead principal. The one ahead principal can get pretty advanced, and actually it can get advanced way beyond the scope of these videos. I'm going to give you sort of a very, very basic version of it and a cool way to use it for this trick. Basically, what happens is that I know one of these objects off this trick. I'm going to force it and we'll talk about that later. What happens is as I'm writing down a prediction, I'm actually writing down what just happen. I'm going to make a prediction, I'm going to have them do a selection process, then I'm going to write down what they just picked. The idea is by dropping them in this cup, I have 3 predictions. When they come out of the cup they don't come out in any sort of specific order. They could have been in there any way. When I open these up, even though I wrote them in the wrong order, I'm going to present them in the correct order. I'm going to show you this in action in just a minute. The idea with the one ahead principal is that when I'm writing down a prediction, I'm not writing down what's going to happen, I'm writing down what just happen. In a minute, I'm going to show you how to put that together and do the whole routine with it and it's going to be pretty cool."
