Variations of the Coin Prediction Magic Trick

"Hey everybody! Now I'm going to show you another way to do the coin prediction trick. What I'm going to do is I'm going to lay the 3 coins out again. We're going to have Mr. Hand come in. What I'd like you to do is push one of the coins toward me. Just push one coin toward. That's the one you want, the quarter? We'll get rid of these other two. The amazing part is that in my hand I had another coin, a quarter. I'm going to show you a different version of this because the first version you use the magicians choice. This is kind of going to modify it a little bit. What I've done is this is a quarter so it matches the quarter. It also has the date 1997, which matches the date on the dime so I can do this two ways. If he pushes the quarter toward me, then I can say I have a matching coin, the quarter. Let's he pushed the dime toward me. I would get rid of these two, take them away, stick them in my pocket, and I would say look at the date on this coin. It's 1997. The coin I had in my hand had the exact same date, 1997. You can show them that the dates on the other coins were different if you wanted to. Now, there's one more scenario where he would push the penny toward me, which is a coin that I don't have a prediction for so we would get rid of that. Put that aside. Then they could say pick one of the coins up in your hand. Whichever one he picks up. If he picks up the quarter, I've got the matching coin. If he picks up the dime, I've got the matching date. This prediction basically covers two different coins. That's another way you can do that if you feel like doing it. You could also write on the card a coin dated 1997. If you wanted to forced just the date you could write on the card a quarter dated 1997. You could play around with different predictions and different ideas. Use some experimenting and have fun with your coin prediction."
