" Hi everybody! I’m Malik the Magic Guy for expertvillage.com. Now I am going to show you some ways to glimpse cards while shuffling. I already taught you how to do an overhand shuffle, but one sort of property of the overhand shuffle is that, if you are holding the cards here and you are peeling them off the top, the bottom card of the deck does not change. So I can see through my fingers what that card is. You can kind of look down in there and see it. So as I am shuffling cards, I am just able to sort of casually tilt my hand and get a look at what that card is—it is an easy matter, just as I am shuffling the cards to be able to look. And I could have them stop or turn the selected card, let’s say the 8 of hearts, and I could take a card that I now know, the 4 of clubs, and drop it right on top. That would be a way to get a key card while overhand shuffling. Let me show you that one more time from another side. I have the key card here, and if I am going to shuffle, I am able to just look right into through here and see what that card is, just by doing an overhand shuffle. That is the way to get a glimpse of a key card while using the overhand shuffle. "
