The Clock Magic Card Trick

" Hi! I’m Malik the magic guy for expertvillage.com. Now for one of my favorite tricks. We almost didn’t put it on these videos because I like it so much. It’s called the clock trick. Now we need Mr. Hand back for this. Mr. Hand, what I am going to have you do is I am going to look away and we are going to use the hours of the day, 1 through 12. I want you right now to think about your favorite hour of the day and take that many cards off the deck. So if you are thinking of 3, you are going to take 3 cards just like that and you are going to hide them in your pocket. Okay. So you go ahead and do that. Take the cards off and hide them in your pocket. Okay? You’ve done that, I guess. Alright, now I am going to take 12 cards to make a clock. Okay, put the rest of the cards away for now. Now we are going to deal these cards into a clock and I am going to show you I have a prediction written down here on this index card. We’ll leave that over here just for now. We are going to start with 1:00, there’s 2:00, there’s 3:00, there’s 4:00, there’s 5:00, there’s 6:00, there’s 7:00, there’s 8:00, 9:00, 10:00, 11:00 and 12:00 o’clock. Now first I want to tell you which hour of the day you thought of. You can just give me thumbs up if I’m right. I’m going to say you thought of 5:00. That’s exactly right because I am an expert at mind reading. Now let’s look at what 5:00 is on our clock; 1, 2, 3, 4, 5:00 o’clock puts us at 4 of Diamonds and if we look at our cool prediction, it actually says the 4 of Diamonds. In a minute I am going to teach you how to do that very cool trick, the clock trick."
