"There are several components that can be included in a press kit to help promote your band. One of the most important components of a press kit is a band biography. A band biography includes a history of the band. It talks about everybody who is in the band. It gives them background information, where they are from, what they do, their history, their influences and how they have become to where they are with the group. A lot of the time, band biographies discuss the background of the band and how they formed. It also includes the style of music and the influences that they have. Here's an example of a band biography. It first talks about the year and goes through and discuss how they became to be a band in the first place. This is often included with a picture of the band. Another example of a band biography can get a little bit more detailed. This has a different format and also includes information about shows and artwork."
