How to play E on the flute starting from the 1st E in the scale we have the 1st finger, 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the left hand. In the right hand we have the 1st, 2nd and pinkie this is how it sounds. Let's review the fingerings looking at the flute we have the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and thumb key in the left hand. We have the 1st, 2nd, and pinkie key in the right hand. E this is the first note. Also this is the last note of the scale as you can see it would be played a octave higher but uses the exact same fingerings. So in playing the 1st note and the last note all you do is blow a little bit harder. We have the 1st E and then keep the same fingerings to the last E. This is the first note also known as the root of the scale E major. "
