"KIVETT BEDNAR: To play the fifth lick in this Wes Montgomery solo, start by placing your ring finger on the 5th fret of the 3rd string [PLAYS NOTE]. And your lick should sound like this [PLAYS LICK]. This lick is over an A minor chord and actually is outlining an A minor triad in second inversion meeting with the 5th in the root or in the bass, excuse me, the 5th in the bass voice. So, you're going to start with your forefinger on the 5th fret of the 3rd string [PLAYS NOTE] and move your ring finger down [PLAYS NOTE] down one string to the 7th fret of the 4th string [PLAYS NOTE], and then roll, roll with your knuckle down to the 7th fret of the 5th string[PLAYS NOTES], and then [PLAYS NOTES] we're going to do a little line cliche [PLAYS LICK SEGMENT] from the 6th fret of the 4th string, alternating between the 4th and the 5th string [PLAYS NOTES], and then back down to the 5th fret of the 4th string [PLAYS NOTES], and the 4th fret of the 4th string.
