"On behalf of Expert Village, Kurt Glaser, KGB Studios, Seattle. Let's continue now with our sessions on "How to use a Two Track Reel to Reel Tape Recorder". Alright, we're done listening, we are now going to go ahead and remove the reel on this particular session with Expert Village. We're going to remove the reel, so you have to go through and rewind the tape, obviously. Alright, we're toward the end of that and it's rolling back, what I like to do is just kick it a little bit forward, and when you see the white leader tape, that's what's on this tape here, the white leader tape, I let that slow down a little bit. Use the breaking mechanisms on the reel so that we can actually get the tape back onto the original reel that's rolled. And then, at that point what I do is I remove the hub, remove the tape from the hub, so that I can now store it in its' original box. I wrap it in plastic because I don't want dust and micro dirt to get in here, and then I put it back in the original box that I had it in. And I make sure that it is flat. It's best to store the tapes in their boxes. I also use a labeling system up here so that I know which one this one is. I know where I've got it, I know what's in it, I know what speed I've recorded it on. So that's how actually then I remove my tapes and then I store them in an upright position. I don't lay them down, I store them in an upright position. And I keep them away from stray magnetic fields like we've talked about before in the storage on the reel to reel machine. That takes care of this section. Let's move on to the next one. See you next time at Expert Village, KGB Studios."
