"Digital versus analog! Another greatly contested subject in 12 volt. What is digital versus analog? Digital versus analog can be many things. It's not just bit sized information that comes through a CD and analog just not a record player. We need to understand what it is so here we go. Digital input is digital analyzed, DAC you may have hear of DAC. Digital to analog converted. It makes it a little cleaner and it's more concise and most amplifiers are going to digital now but there are many amplifiers that are not digital and this is one of them. This amplifier here is analog. It's full range but it's analog. This amplifier is digital, it has a firewire port in, there are amplifiers that are digital that have standard RC's like this one as well. Digital is cleaner for the most part but that's not exactly true because analog is warmer, and we'll get into that too because they're things called vacuum tube amplifiers which I'll touch on for a brief second because that's a thereon of its own. Warm versus clean. Can we find a happy medium? You can! It's called tuning and right selection of amplifiers versus speaker crossover points. That's all wrapped up in a small laymen term definition of digital versus analog."
