"Multi-channel amplifiers! One of my favorites. There's a lot of different types of multi-channels, but I'm going to kind of give you an explanation with one of the four runners of the technology. One of the pinnacles of evolution as far as amplifier technology is concerned to me, is this Zarco. it is a product by Edward Zeff from Modesto California. Little history lessons there for you. He's been in the business for over forty years. I'm not here to promote him, but just giving you a little background. I am a nerd when it comes to twelve volt. This amplifier does multi-media. Five point one, six point one Dolby digital true. What that means is you do not need another signal processor for this because it has one built on board. If you look at the connector ports here you have conventional: power, ground, remote turn on but there are USB ports slots, there's data log and there?s a fire wire port. Why FireWire ports? No unbalanced pool distortion. When you have conventional RCA it's basically a positive and negative signal and when you put them in close proximity you get pool distortion. Just like North Pole versus South Pole, electromagnetic distortion. It all happens, you can hear ambient noise, you might not hear it but its there. This amplifier brings that way down to almost nothing. Another added bonus with the FireWire port you can balanced line output with line driver capability which will increase the ambient amount of current that you have coming through the output, so there's more input sensitivity, there's cleaner transfer, good amount of power. It doesn't matter what kind of radio you have basically. You could have a Craco radio, you could have a super no name, you bought it at the swap meet for a dollar radio and it would probably still sound very good. Being limited by its sampling rate of course but that's another subject all together. Bottom line is this amplifier is all digital output in. It has six channels, it will do your subs, your front, you rear, your bi-amp, your front stage, your rear stage, you'll run all your components. There's a processor built on board and the only way you can tune this bad boy is with a laptop. Multi-channel is the, literally. It comes at a cost though. It's not cheap and so for that matter it's prohibited to most, to the average consumer but by all means I'm not telling you not to go get one but you might need to save a couple more pennies for it."
