" Hi! My name is John Armstrong with expertvillage.com. I'm a professional guitar instructor and today we are going to be studying beginning jazz guitar. Next I would like to discuss the minor 7 arpeggio. In order to do this one, I am going to have my root here but instead of doing the flatted 3rd over here, I like to do the flatted 3rd here on the same string. So we are going to have root flatted 3rd, 5th, flatted 7th, root and then I am going to shift back here. I'm going to shift my whole thing for my 5th position which is the first 3 strings is based on the 5th position root, flatted 3rd, 5th, flatted 7th, root and then I am going to shift back to the 3rd position fingering. Flatted 3rd, 5th, flatted 7 root. You know this here I kind of use my ball on the way back there, use my middle finger that allows me to jump my 3rd finger there. Now the same thing applied over to the 5th string, A string. We are going to play a D minor 7 arpeggio. Root flatted 3rd, 5th flatted 7th, root flatted 3rd, 5th, flatted 7th root. That gives us our D minor 7 chord arpeggio. Removable minor 7 chord arpeggio back. "
