"Hi! I'm John Lozier. I call myself a harper for harmony and I play the harp. I am doing this little project on behalf of Expert Village. I got the idea after I started playing the harp that the harp was a symbol of peace and friendship and that it was a universal symbol. But you know what does that really mean? I got the idea that if people would see the harp decorated in a way that they could identify being out of their own culture, that they would recognize and it would help them to reclaim their heritage in the harp and this was the experiment that did that. So I want you to see what these little pictures are like because when the people of El Salvador saw this harp, the immediately recognized it as being their art tradition. So they immediately became interested in the music and they said we have harps in El Salvador even though when I ask people that, they said no they didn't. So I found it proven that wherever I go with children of all ages, with old people, the harp is such a charming instrument. It is just so charming. There isn't anybody that doesn't like the harp. So it became a symbol for me too and I've tried to carry that on and pass it along. This is a little tune from Wales and it is called the White Bird, the bird of peace. "
