"The first thing you want to do when you're playing piano is be comfortable. If you're not comfortable you won't play well. Basically, you want to sit down, maybe a good foot away, right in front of the piano and make sure your hands are actually not too high or too low. A comfortable position is definitely good, I like to put my hands right in the middle of the keyboard because it's a good middle C position to decide where you want to start playing. Now we are going to go over notes. The piano is made up of 88 keys, at least most pianos are. This keyboard is a Casio Privia, it's got 88 keys. Some keyboards have 61, some have 76, but 88 is perfect because it covers the full range of the piano. And, we are going to need the full range later when we cover arpeggios. Basically, when you're playing notes, the first note that you want to actually familiarize yourself with is the C, middle C it's called. The next note is D, E, F, G, A, B, and C. Now, we are going to need to know these notes because they form chords and the chords that we are going to learn for this song start with C. So, that's what you need to know about notes."
