Hi everybody, Kevin Smith, TubaLove, talking to you now about a Tuba case. Tuba cases are pretty critical as far as I'm concerned in just protecting your instrument. This is just one kind of case. This is what's called the hard case. You can also get softer cases. About 20 years ago, I had one made for me, for my birthday. It was a beautiful, red, case with a wool interior. Obviously the lighter cases are easier to carry; they don't weigh as much. But the advantage of the hard case is that they are more protective. If I have a light case and I drop it, chances are good I'm still going to put some kind of a dent in the instrument. If I drop the hard case, the likelihood of that happening is going to be significantly less. The case opens up I've got a really nice felt interior here, there's a spot in this one where I can put a couple mouthpieces. I can keep my buffing rags, I've got my valve oil in there, I've got my tuning slide grease and I also have room on the outside for a warning sign which says "Beware of the Tuba Player", and I mean it.
