Hi everyone. I'm Kevin Smith, also known as Tubalove. I'm here to discuss and describe general cleaning and maintenance of the instrument. I'm going to be going over such things as oiling the valves right here, greasing these tuning slides to keep them moving, different cloths that I use for buffing the horn, different cleaning brushes that I have, and actual tuba bath that I do four times a year, something known as a chemical cleaning on the instrument. Spot cleaning, this and that and the other. Going to talk about a mouthpiece case, the tuba case. But just in other words, just the various means that we players have at our disposal to keep the instrument as nice looking as we can and functioning as optimally as possible.
