"Hi, now, as we're running through our scales, the whole family of notes, we're running through some of the more often used scales for brass. This scale is a major scale, and in major and minor scales, minor's have a more melancholy sad sound. There's two notes that are different than in the major scale, and they are flatted, meaning that they are dropped in their pitch, and creating a more melancholy sound. This is not a melancholy sound, this is a major scale in B Flat. "And can you show us the octaves of that scale"? The B Flat major scale, one of the trumpet players' most favorite scales!"
