"A great way to advertise for your band to promote upcoming shows and tours is to advertise with commercials. Commercials can be done in a variety of different ways. You can have commercials on the TV and on the radio. These sometimes are pretty expensive if you are not sponsored. You can also have commercials online on places such as iTunes. As you can see, the iTunes store has many sponsored artists that are advertised here. These are also pretty expensive if you're not signed by a label. Other ways you can advertise your band is in magazines, such as Downbeat, Karma and Billboard. All these magazines are great ways to get your band known in the industry. Other things that you can do to advertise your band is to set up certain display boards at record stores. If you have posters or fliers or you want to have end displays at different record stores, you can ask them and usually pay a small fee to have them advertise and promote your album."
