"Another great way to advertise and promote you band's shows and upcoming tours are opening up posters. Posters can take a variety of different forms. They can be simple black and white advertising for events. They can be more computer-made. Oftentimes, posters reflect albums. In this case, this picture is the album that is being released on tour. Other forms of posters can get more snazzy and include themes from the albums or what the band is going through in that period of time. They advertise for shows, but they can also advertise for other things, such as playing at fairs and camp festivals and other events. Another type of poster is advertised for a single show at a local venue. There are other types of fliers that can advertise for shows that are smaller. More professionally-done posters can include something like this. This is for Vitamin C, who has a photo and then talks about her new album and it looks like an album. A creative way to promote and advertise yourself. Another professional poster, which was a fold out from a magazine, includes the band and different means of advertising and promoting."
