"The three major sounds of beat boxing are the bass, the snare, and the high hat. Right now we're going to talk about the bass and what are three different ways to do that sound. The very basic sound of a bass is basically a P sound. And when you're making that sound you just want to adjust it by opening your throat up and having more gusto when you do it. So you have the P sound, but if you open up your throat, you'll get that lower tone. And you just want to support it with some air from your diaphragm, you singers out there you know what I'm talking about, if you don't sing, now you know what I'm talking about. Just have it come from the belly and make it a strong noise. From there you can move on to adding some bass to the sound. You do that by just humming as low as you possibly can while you make that noise. It sounds something like this. Some of these sounds might sound kind of silly by themselves, that's okay, you've got to practice them because eventually you can just put them all together. The third sound is the sound that Rahzel is most known for. Once you hear this bass, you know it's someone that appreciates his sound. And what you're going to do is basically make--tighten up your throat when you make that low sound, and make it sound a little bit more rough. It sounds like this. After you practice those three different sounds, you'll be able to use them throughout your beat box performance. So, let's review the three sounds. You've got the bass, the bass with a bass line, and you got the Rahzel bass. So practice those as much as you can so that you can add them to your repertoire."
