Of course you have these 3 open strings to mess around with, so you are just making a G 7 out of it but if you got a sort of upbeat Johnny Cash style thing, you just put a lot of movement in it. You can even use those same notes on the C chord. Almost the same notes on the D; go up to the third on D. "
