"This is Josh C from The Mother Truckers and we are going to stick a little bit with the major highways right now. One is a classic that Hendrix used that is sort of based off your E major chord up here on the 7 fret. You take this as sort of your back board and you just do whole steps and sort of in any configuration you want. You have that whole basic. You might do a half step on a B string and it allows you to do licks like, so just sort of indiscriminately pick out a pattern but I guess it is more based off of this E major chord. So let's just run over that real slow. We have these 3 strings; the D, B and G. Those are just some common major highways that a lot of country guitar players use and Hendrix as well. "
