"Hi. My name is Kat Litrenta and I'm a professional performer and I'm here today at Expert Village to show you how you can do it too. Now, in this segment, we're talking about big band 1940's music and we have to select the songs that are right for us. This takes a lot of research. It did for me anyway. I went along and found some CDs with big band music on it. All of the tunes that were popular back then. Now you might want to ask mom or grandmother, if the case may be what songs were popular back then. The really big hits and then, go ahead and get yourself some CDs. And I like these tapes with the Andrews Sisters on them. They have all of their wonderful songs from the 40s and the 50s. They like to call them the war years, World War II. And so, the costume we're put together is an army uniform. And selecting the costume, selecting the music is very, has to coincide and pick things that are right for your voice. I know the Andrews Sisters were all very good for my voice."
