"My name is Katrina Cook and I am a casting director and owner of Katz Casting. I am here on behalf of Expert Village.com to let you know what you need to do to prepare for your next audition. The first thing you are going to need is a good head shot, like this one right here. You need to have your resume which could look something similar to this right here. There is no particular exact way to do it but on this one right here we have her name at the top. Contact information is very important. I have received very many head shots without this information, so basically this whole thing is useless if you don’t tell us how we can get in touch with you. You need to put your stats, how tall you are and what size you wear. Sometimes this is very important. You need to list your categories. Whatever you are trying to audition for needs to be in the top category. If you are going for film, you need to list film first. If you are going for commercial you need to have a separate commercial resume listing commercials first. Same for theater, if you are going for a theater audition, you need to bump the theater up to the top and you need to list the name of the production, the role you played in the production including whether it was lead or supporting. Also, the production company name or the director’s name or producer’s name. Down at the bottom you can be sure in include things like special dialog you may have skills, special skills, horseback riding, skiing, snorkeling, swimming, various things like that. In case they are looking for someone with those particular skills, they will notice it and call you in for an audition. "
