How to Find Acting Auditions

"My name is Katrina Cook and I am the owner of Katz Casting. I am here on behalf of Expert Village.com to give you some ideas on how to locate these acting jobs. First of all there are several websites out there. You can do a search on Yahoo or you can also pull up Craig’s list which is a great place to find different opportunities. On my website what I do is I have a mailing list and I post my casting notices on there. Once you are signed up you will automatically received something that looks like this in your e-mail. And what a casting notice is particularly on extras and we tell the age range we are looking for, we give the date, how many people we need and particular character profiles. If we need shoppers or upscale women or business men, we list it all out right here and we give you specific guidelines as far as submitting for the project. So be sure and take a minute to read the entire casting notice and make sure that you are available for the day that is listed. Do not submit if you do not fit or if you are not available because then it kind of takes up our time. But if you are going to go ahead and send in an e-mail and if you live in the location and we need you to come out then we send you an e-mail back booking you for that shoot. "
