"Hi, my name is Katrina Cook and I am a casting director and owner of Katz Casting and I am here with Expert Village.com to give you some ideas of owning your skills as an actor. The first thing I would recommend would be to find yourself a good acting class. This is one of those things that when you are on set as an extra it is great to ask around because more than likely everyone there is attending acting classes. You can find a coach that has some experience in the business and they can sit down with you and show you what areas that you may need to work on in developing characters for auditions. And another thing you can do is practice in front of the mirror. That way you can see your facial expressions. You can see how you are portraying these characters are also you can videotape it and then sit down in front of the TV and watch it to make sure that you don’t have any nervous habits that you are doing.
