How to Play Moderate Drum Beats

" Hi! My name is Ken Marcou and I’m going to talk a little bit about playing moderate rock beats. Moderate rock beats are a lot like slower rock beats but you need to play with a little bit more definition usually a little bit more you know punch and the fills you want to keep to a minimum like you keep into minimum in slower beats but you have a little bit more freedom there. So I’m going to play some moderate rock beats and just throw in some fills and just to kind of show you what I’m talking about…so there we’ve got a moderate rock beat, same general principle as any other beat. When we talk about rock songs we want to create a nice solid back beat but also have some flare and there’s an example of kind of doing both of those aspects."
