" Hi! Ken Steiner for expertvillage.com. I’d like to show you a really cool figure based on a rumba feel, might find it in Rockabilly it’s certainly very cool when you’re playing blue’s gigs. There are quiet of few blue’s tunes that are rumba figures, could also do sometimes I use it when I’m doing a jazz gig and people call that a laughing tune often that means sort of just playing a generic bossonova but I’ll play this rumba figure and sort of kick it up a little bit, it goes something like this…….. I’m going to slow that down a little bit so you can sort of see what’s going on it gets a little trickier because what you’re doing is your going back and forth between a triple slap and no slap at all, so I don’t expect you to get that right away, with some practice you’ll get this timing it’s a very cool figure…..
