    I just recently bought an upright bass ans have found your videos very helpfull. I was wondering what kind of strings would you recomend?

    The bass you see in the video is a 1939 Kay bass. I use a different bass for jazz, and I generally don't play classical. I find that bowing gut strings is more difficult that stell strings. - Ken
