"Hey! How you doing? This is Jonathan Escotto, also known as B-boy Xcel, on behalf of Expert Village, and today we're showing breaking tips. Now we're going to talk a little bit about a move we call a pull through. A pull through is a footwork transition. You would do it during your footwork. Let's say again through your 6 step. I'm going to demonstrate what it looks like. 6 step, pull through, and I'm here. A pull through; there are 2 different methods of doing it. You can do it with your legs crossed or you can do it with your legs straight; depending on how flexible you are. Personally, I prefer to do it with my legs crossed. Some people prefer to do it with their legs completely straight, which would be here. The trick to it is to not lift your hand up when you bring it through. A couple of different exercise to help you. For one, for this you want to have your hands a little bit passed shoulder length. You don't want to be too close, because then your legs won't be able to come through. You want to be a little bit passed shoulder length. It's easier if you go on your fingertips on this. Now, for those of you who have a hard time pulling through, you want to extend your legs in the back. What you want to do is cross one leg over the other so it looks kind of like this. Cross one leg over the other. Now, when you cross one leg over the other, what you do is you pull, with your hands; you pull your body through. Basically, it goes here. You don't want to land back on your butt. You want to land up on your feet so you can continue going to your footwork. That's what we call a pull through. "
