"Hey! How you doing? This is Jonathan Escotto, also known as B-boy Xcel, on behalf of Expert Village, and today we're showing you breaking tips. Now we're going to talk a little bit about what we call threading. Threading is a subcategory of footwork. The name threading basically comes a needle and thread. Basically, you're doing that with your body. You can thready with your legs, you can thread with your hands, you can thread with your clothes. Alright, now this is what threading looks like. Okay. Now, you just got a little example of threading. Now, threading is basically an illusion. A lot of it look a lot more difficult than what it is. Now, threading, something you do in between your steps. Between your 6 steps, CCs and other techniqual moves. Now, I'm going to break threading down just a little bit, so you guys can get a little idea of what threading is. We're going to start off from a 6 step position, which should be here. We're going to assume you want to round one time on your foot work, back to the begining of 6 step position. We're going to bring our leg in forward and we're going to do basically a sit down almost like a James Brown split. We're going to have one leg back. We're going to bring our leg forward. Now, wether you're righty or lefty, whichever you prefer. If you're lefty, try to do this the opposite way. What I'm going to do now is I'm going to take my left leg and I'm going to put it underneath my right knee cap so I'm sitting this way. I'm going to grab my right hand and I'm going to grab my left foot with my right hand. Now, it's important that you don't grab the bottom of your foot. You want to grab the tip of your foot. Now, what we do is you take your knee, your right knee, and you're going to bring it towards your body. As you bring your right knee toward your body, you're going to take your left foot with your right hand and you're going to bring your left foot out here. That's thread one. Now you're going to repeat that same motion in reverse. You can take your right knee, which is here. You're going to bring your right knee in and thread it out. Now, a little bit more technical thread would be what I call a rolling thread. What you would do from here is you take your right knee after you do the combo I just showed you. I'll demonstrate it again. We did 1, here, 2, here. Take your right knee, you're going to come up this way so you're sitting on your knees still holding your left foot. You're going to take your right shoulder and there's a space right in the back here. You're going to take your head and your shoulder and you're going to roll underneath your arm. So you're going to come here, without letting go, and you sit up. Right from here, you complete the thread. And there you have a thread combo. Now I'm going to do the whole thing for you so you see it again. It's 5 m"
