my name is Jude Parry from Gold Coast Theater Company in Miami Beach. Today I will be teaching you a little bit about the art of mime. When I'm teaching people I usually give them the option to create a piece of there own. Animators are very useful in common objects that they like to use. Well how do you do it. Well first of all you have to image that you are going into a elevator. Press the button, wait with a bored expression that everyone has. When the elevator opens, remember you like to have the elevator opening, I show it. Then I step inside and normally I would turn my back, that would be rude cause you are in front of me. So image that the doors are now closing with a little jerk. Then we go down, down, down, down, down, down, down. Until I disappear and then maybe I come backup to the 4th floor or ground floor wherever it was. Keeping my face almost in front just like I did before with my back is straight that creates the illusion. That is what is going on, your imagination and the people in the elevator. That is how to create a elevator.
