"On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Jude Parry from Gold Coast Theatre Company in Miami Beach. Today I will be teaching you a little bit about the art of mime. Picking up an object is important in the art of mime. In the first lesson we talked about using your hands to create a solid surface, but now you're going to use the same loose and fluffy and definite shape to create and object. Let's say we have a soda can in front of us. I loose and fluffy make my hand go away from the object then contact the object to create the shape of the object. Then I do something that's practically invisible to the naked eye. I do a little movement of my wrist, which releases the object from the table that I pick. I always put a value to the object. In this case, a soda can. If it's a soda can or a needle and thread, or it could be a pair of earrings. Those are the things that you have to start by letting the audience know in the art of mime. That and how many fingers you use. One finger for delicate objects, many fingers for large objects, and then you can create anything with the art of mime."
