"I’m Kelly-Anne and I’m here with my partner Fred. We will be demonstrating basic ballroom dancing. The man’s part for the basic on foxtrot begins with his left foot with a heel lead. Slow, slow, side, close. It’s 2 walking steps forward and a side, close. Slow, slow, side, close. The man’s part promenade, again, this is a smooth dance because we have a heel lead. We change direction from our closed position, opening the lady up. Take 2 steps directly forward and then side, close. The man’s part for the ad lib. You’re in closed position, take a step directly forward with the heel lead, bring your right foot closed together without transferring weight, step directly back, and then you open and close, turn. So it’s directly forward, neutral, back, side, close. Thank you for viewing our demonstration on expertvillage.com. For more information, you can visit my website 56dance.com. For more information about me and where I learn to dance, you can visit keysdancecenter.com."
