"I’m Kelly-Anne and I’m here with my partner Fred. We will be demonstrating basic ballroom dancing. You’ve already seen us dance the rumba box. We’re going to take this time to break it down and show you both the man’s movements and the ladies movements. We’ll begin with the lady. The lady starts on her right foot on a quick, quick beat or 2, 3 count. So it goes 2, 3, 2, 3, quick, quick. Notice, I step when she steps; toe first. Latin dancing is a toe lead, which means we commence the step with our toe pointed. So our basic box begins with this side step. Quick, quick, quick ,quick. Our next step is a slow forward step for the guy, backwards step for the lady. Slow. Again, notice my toe went first. You hold for one beat and then bring them over and then side step. Quick, quick, slow, quick, quick, slow, quick, quick, slow, quick, quick, slow, quick, quick, slow, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4, 1.
