"Hi! This is Leslie Sack. My website is lesliesack.com and the dance is Mambo. This is a cross body lead. This is a man's part for a cross body lead and cross body leave means you end up doing almost all the different partner dances and the concept of the cross body lead is you are doing one basic pattern and instead of just rotating a little bit and turning 180 degrees, so it looks like this. Here is my side basic. I go 2, 3, 4 hold 1, 2, 3, 4 hold 1. That's a whole cross body lead. So I start crossing this way 2, 3 open the door, she's over here and then I'm going to bring her through the door. So my feet go 2, start to turn 3, 4 hold 1, so I've got my weight right here, lead her through and then I step 2, 3, 4, hold 1, 2, 3 open the door, 2, 3, 4, 1. The way that she knows that you are doing this because your shoulders turn 90 degrees. The 2, 3, turn, 2, 3, 4 but the cross body is usually the guy."
